The paragraph should be typed and emailed to me. Your paragraph should have a topic sentence, textual evidence, and transitional words and phrases. Since this part of the assignment will be typed, use three different colors to show evidence that you've included these things in your paragraph. For example, you may make your topic sentence red, your transitions green, and your textual evidence yellow.

This week in class, we continued to work on figurative language. We also had retakes on the figurative language quiz. Students who did not receive an A on the first quiz were given another opportunity to retake the exam. We ended the week working on indirect and direct characterization. Students who did not finish their characterization charts were asked to complete their charts over the weekend. This week's vocabulary words were: direct characterization, indirect characterization, stanza, sensory details.
